Nivea: Q10 +C Energy Night Sleep Cream

I have used a lot of products from Nivea and I have to say, their products are quite decent and good quality. In fact terms of price it’s very affordable. My husband really like their hand creams. I like their body lotion and shower gels/creams range. I have previously used some of their skincare products and so far so good.

This recent product came to my attention when I heard a lot about vitamin C used in skincare products.

I have very tired and dull looking skin due to lack of sleep and getting up too many times at night to feed the baby. At the same time I need to combat my aging skin and fine lines so this product is very appealing.

The cream itself is very smooth and absorbs beautifully. The fragrance is quite mild and relaxing. I have a good feeling after applying the cream before bed.

I would prefer a tub rather than the aluminium tube but due to the nature of the vitamin C, its not suitable for a jar or tub.

In the morning, my skin looks alright, not too tired or dull but not too refreshing. Maybe it works better for those who have the luxury for a good night sleep.

La Roche Posay: Ultra Micellar Water

Another micellar water product in my possession. I received this from a gift bag promotion. I have heard good recommendations for this brand, especially for sensitive skin.

I have eye irritations when trying to remove eye make-up, mascara, and eye liner. I was hoping that this product will be soothing to my eyes.

I like the blue packaging, just because it is my favourite colour. The water is nice however, it’s not one use remove all. And if you happy to soak the cotton pad too much, the water seeps into your eyes and will cause discomfort.

This is suitable for those who fancy the use of micellar water. For me, I don’t really need this step.

Lacura: Exfoliating Walnut Face Scrub

Never judge the product by its brand.

This is the first time I use a skincare product from Lacura (from Aldi). Many years ago, my supervisor’s wife told me that she use the moisturisers from Lacura and its quite good.

This face scrub works wonderful, more than what I was expected. It was not too rough on the skin but cleansed very well. The fragrance is quite nice too. Once you dried off your face, the skin is very smooth and soft. It works better than many other scrubs that I have used.

Good value for both money and product.

Garnier: Micellar Cleansing Water

When this product just came out, the advertisement seemed very useful in removing make up especially the eye make-up. I was interested in getting one to use.

Although it was stated that they are good even for sensitive skin, I found that it stings the eye most of the time so I rarely use them to wipe my eye makeup.

To be honest I don’t find them to have that wow factor because it does not removes the make up that well. This product is similar to the Korean cleansing water, which they use after the cleansing oil and before the foam cleanser.

At the moment I just use it as the cleansing water but won’t be buying it again because they are a bit excessive for my skincare routine steps.

It’s Skin: Plant Water Balancing Emulsion

This product is my new winter favourite. Very light yet hydrating. The fragrance is mild and beautiful too.

This emulsion is a bit thicker than the essence but more runny than the lotion or some serum. It is similar to The Body Shop aqua boost essence lotion.

It helps to keep my skin hydrated during winter nights. The emulsions is cool when applied but absorbed very well. The skin feels fresh, hydrating and supple. I should have bought the whole set in the first place.

Skin Republic: Youth Foil Face Mask Sheet

This mask is beautiful to use. I have a, soft spot for face masks, so most of my review for face masks are generally positive.

This mask came in 2 separate parts, one for your upper, one for your lower face. The foil on the top side helps lock in the liquid and moisture, which makes it much more hydrating.

Lovely texture mask to put on the face, especially prior to go to bed. The skin feels cool, hydrating and smooth for a good night sleep.

Thi set is very convenient to use when travel. It includes the basic products for your skincare routine.

The cleanser is very soft and and foamy. Cleansed very well. Toner is hydrating and leaves your skin supple. The serum and moisturiser is silky soft and smooth.

Overall, I am quite happy with this travel set. It is quite pricey but once they’re on special thay are good to buy.

This body scrub is easy to use. The fragrance is quite relaxing. The infused oil makes the skin feeling smooth however, you need to be careful in the shower/bath because the oiliness can be very slippery.

This hand cream is indeed heavenly. It is easily absorbs without the greasy after feel. It makes the extra dry skin feel smooth right after use. The amazing scent is the most attractive thing to me.
